Kanto Quartet: They’re all still friends, sure, but they haven’t all been in the same place since the Dexholder tournament at the end of Emerald. Somebody’s always off saving the world in some other region.
Johto Trio: They’re fairly close, Crys has to work and stuff but she usually manages to arrange a get-together at least once a month.
Hoenn Trio: Ruby and Sapphire are super close, and Emerald has learned to enjoy third-wheeling them.
Sinnoh Trio: Still nearly inseparable. Interdimensional travel hasn’t changed that.
Unova Quartet: The four of them have never even met. And if they had, well, a rock doesn’t make for very good company.
Kalos Quintet: Trevor, Tierno, and Shauna hang out all the time, but their work keeps them from visiting X and Y. Those two…well, they’re practically living together already.

Alola Squad: Moon speaks to and hangs out with everybody while Sun just works for more money, alone. But he does talk to Moon.
